And it's not just about content alignment; cognitive alignment is just as important for ensuring that students are working at the appropriate levels! We call this deep alignment of curriculum.

The quizzes refer to A Taxonomy for Learning, Teaching, and Assessing: A Revision of Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. Other taxonomies exist, several of which are more tailored to specific disciplines. We believe in the importance of developing a common language of curriculum across all disciplines so that educators communicate and collaborate with maximum effectiveness, and therefore we use the well-known, one-size-fits-most Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. We are, however, familiar with other taxonomies and able to use them when consulting with districts.
