Our Company's Mission

We partner with school districts and educational organizations to achieve success for all learners through efficiency of school district planning, teaching, and learning.

We do this by designing tools and processes to improve the alignment between curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Directors

Kate Wolfe Maxlow began her educational career as teacher in a struggling school, and quickly realized the power of aligning curriculum, instruction, and assessment in helping her students achieve confidence, results, and a love of learning. Since that time, her work as an elementary teacher, instructional coach, educational consultant, and professional learning coordinator all fostered the realization that when an entire school district pulls in the same direction, we can accomplish great things for all learners.

Kate has an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Virginia and a Master's in Elementary Education from the College of William and Mary, and has her administrative endorsement. She is the co-host of the Level Up Learning podcast and has worked with school districts both nationally and globally on curriculum & instruction, assessment, and teacher evaluation.

Dr. James Maxlow maintains a passion for continuously improving public education - a passion that began when he first entered college and continues to this day. While earning degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from Christopher Newport University, and most recently a doctorate in Curriculum and Educational Technology from the College of William and Mary, James has put his knowledge and skills to use as a public school teacher and administrator, dedicating 21 years to his craft.

James' particular areas of interest include leveraging instructional technologies and coaching strategies to improve the effectiveness of classroom teachers, as well as exploring the curricular integration of technology resources such as educational gaming and electronic collaboration between students. He has authored multiple articles in ISTE's Learning and Leading magazine and recently published an academic study on the use of the Mission US educational game in a middle school social studies program.
